Choose Your Storage Container
Greencube currently offers 20 × 8 ft storage containers — a versatile, drive-up unit that works well for household moves, renovation storage, business stock, tools, and workshop setups. Additional sizes will be available soon.
Not sure if the size is right for you? Here’s a general guide:
- Partial home contents (1–2 rooms, boxes, and smaller furniture) — this unit handles it comfortably
- Full household move (furniture, appliances, and boxes from a family home) — works well with good organisation and packing
- Business stock or equipment — ideal for seasonal inventory, trade tools, and commercial supplies
- Workshop or hobby space — with optional power and lighting, the unit becomes a functional workspace

Internal Mains-Powered Lighting — from £10/month
Working inside your container is much easier with proper lighting. Our internal mains-powered light fitting means you can access and organise your unit comfortably at any time — day or night. Especially useful for workshop users or businesses regularly picking and packing stock.
Power Supply — Available on Request
Need to run equipment, charge tools, or operate a small device from your unit? Power is available on request — just let us know when you book and we’ll arrange it.
Packing Materials
We can supply packing materials to help you store more safely and efficiently. Ask about availability when you book.
Book Your Move-In Date
Once you’ve chosen your unit and any extras, simply select your move-in date through our online booking system.
- Same-day move-in is available if units are in stock — check online for live availability
- Advance booking lets you lock in your unit ahead of a planned move, renovation, or clearance
- No deposit required — you don’t need to pay anything upfront beyond your first rental period
- No contract to sign — our rental terms are simple, flexible, and jargon-free
Arrive and Move In
- Your lock — you supply your own padlock so that only you have access to your unit. If you forget, we have lockboxes available on-site
- Your PIN — you’ll receive a secure PIN code to access the yard gate; this gives you 24/7 entry to the site
- Your belongings — our yard accommodates cars, vans, and larger commercial vehicles, so loading and unloading is easy
Arriving at the Site
- Drive to our facility at Station Place, Risca, Newport, NP11 6PW
- Enter your PIN code at the gate to access the fully illuminated yard
- Drive up to your container — there’s no need to carry items long distances
- Load your belongings at your own pace
- Secure your unit with your own padlock and you’re done
That’s it. You now have 24/7 access to your container for as long as your rental continues — no appointments, no check-in procedures, and no staff required to be on-site.

In most cases, you can book online and access your unit the same day, subject to availability. Our online booking system shows live availability so you can see exactly which units are ready and when. If you’re unsure, call us on 01633 328 458 and we’ll confirm on the spot.
Yes — you supply your own padlock to secure your unit. This ensures that only you have access; Greencube holds no master key to your container. If you arrive without a lock, lockboxes are available on-site.
You’ll need a valid form of photo ID (such as a passport or driving licence) and proof of your address (such as a recent utility bill or bank statement). Our team will confirm exactly what’s needed when you book.
Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a secure PIN code. Enter this at the gate to access the fully illuminated yard 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year — including bank holidays.
We currently offer 20 × 8 ft drive-up storage containers, which suit a wide range of household and business storage needs. Additional sizes will be available soon — contact us if you have a specific requirement and we’ll advise on the best option.
No deposit is required, and there is no minimum rental period. You pay only for the time you use — whether that’s a week, a month, or longer. You can end your rental at any time with no exit fees.
